Cassis Records and Publishing was founded in 2020 by music producer Matteo Cantaluppi, filmmaker Fausto Caviglia, and Ilaria Prigione. As a record label, Cassis focuses on promoting Italian artists specializing in instrumental music with experimental, cinematic, and ambient characteristics. Its mission is to highlight and support this unique genre of music created within Italy.

The label’s roster includes artists such as Angelo Trabace, Alessandro Baldessari, Matteo Cantaluppi, Marco Scipione, Giacomo Zorzi, The Washing Planck, Giuseppe Franchellucci, Andrea Faccioli, Carver, and Matteo Sand.

On the publishing side, Cassis has played a significant role in the production of “Assamanù” by Setak, which won the Tenco Prize 2024 for Best Album in Dialect. Other notable projects include “La Miseria” by Luca Romagnoli (frontman of Management), released under La Tempesta Dischi and selected among the five finalists for the 2025 Tenco Prize for Best Debut Album; “La Terra Santa” by Sequoia, released by Costello’s Records. Cassis manages a publishing catalogue of over 250 works and is also publisher of songs by chart-topping Italian artists such as Francesco Gabbani, Elodie, I Segreti, Tommaso Paradiso, La Crus, and Nesli.

Cassis Records and Publishing operates from its headquarters at Mono Studio in Milan, a state-of-the-art recording facility managed by Matteo Cantaluppi. The studio boasts top-tier equipment and machinery, providing an ideal environment for high-quality music production.

In addition to its work with music, Cassis is actively involved in the production of documentaries , as well as short and feature films. The company has also overseen the executive production of numerous successful Italian albums, further solidifying its reputation as a key player in the Italian music scene.
